- GENERAL: Windows shall be Super
Vent Type with 9” locking vents.
- MATERIAL: Frame sections shall be of
6063T5 and 6063T6 aluminum alloy.
- FINISH: Clear Anodized, Mill finish,
ESP Bronze or White.
- CONSTRUCTION: Frame members have a depth
of 1 7/8”. Vent members have a depth of 1”. Frame and
vents shall have mortise and tennon joints. Nylon bushings and guides
are used to prevent metal to metal contact of moving parts. Vents are
removed from the interior for re-glazing. Vents shall automatically
lock.
- GLAZING: Windows designed for
exterior factory glazing and aluminum snap on bead. Tinted,
reflective, aluminum, plastic, and other glazing materials are also
available.
- HARDWARE: Operator shall have heat
treated steel gears and transmit power to window via a torque bar
tube. Installation hardware is available but not included.

- WEATHER
STRIPPING: Perimeter
of frame and vents, except exterior of bottom vent, shall have weather
stripping on interior and exterior contact points. Exterior contact
point at sill is not weather stripped to facilitate proper drainage.
- SCREEN: Fiberglass 18 x 16 mesh
installed in a tubular roll formed section that is removable only from
the interior of the building.
- INSTALLATION: All units
shall be erected in openings prepared by others in accordance with
manufacturer’s recommendations. Frames must be securely
fastened, set plumb, level and square without twisting, bowing or
springing. All window units are to be caulked as detailed with a
suitable caulking compound. Manufacturer assumes no liability for
damage by the trades or final cleaning.
